10 Days, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Treking to Crater Highland Oldonyo Lengai

DAY1: Leave Moshi in the early morning at 6:30am and drive to Tarangire National Park for full day game drive with your pink lunch box. Enjoy plenty of wildlife at Tarangire then dinner and overnight at Camp site / Lodge.

DAY2: After breakfast drive to lake Manyara National Park for full day game viewing, visit the lake and enjoy millions of pink flamingos as well as hippos, buffalo, zebra and many more animals. Dinner and overnight at Camp site / Lodge

DAY3: After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater floor for full day game drive with your picnic lunch box en-route. Enjoy crater tour then later drive to Simba camp at the crater rim for dinner and overnight.

DAY4: After breakfast, drive to Nainokonoka village and visit Olmoti crater. Enjoy the lovely view of endless plains of the Serengeti and maasai people conservation area. Dinner and overnight at Nainokonaka ranger post camp.

DAY 5: After breakfast, meet maasai guide who will prepare a donkey to carry camping gear. Thereafter, start trekking all the way to Bulati camp which will take 6-7 hours walk. Dinner and overnight at Bulati camp.

DAY6: After breakfast, load donkey with camping gear and prepare to continue with trekking to Embakai crater. Upon arrival at Embakai crater, enjoy plenty of wildlife including groups of buffalo, flamingos, hyena and many more animals. Dinner and overnight at Embakai camp.

DAY7: After breakfast continue trekking for 5-6 hours all the way to Acacia camp. Dinner and overnight at Acacia camp .

DAY8: After breakfast, trek all the way down to lake Natron - Kamakia camp, enjoy your lunch and rest then later visit lake Natron for your sunset view. Thereafter, walk back to Kamakia camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY9: After breakfast visit waterfall and Maasai Boma, experience Maasai culture then walk to the camp for early dinner and rest. Thereafter, transfer to starting point of Mount Oldoinyo Lengai and start climbing all the way to summit and enjoy the beautiful sunrise experience.

DAY 10: At sunrise walk back to starting point of Oldoinyo Lengai, thereafter walk back to camp for breakfast and short rest then later drive back to Moshi.

Tarangire National Park;

Highlights:

  • Giant African Baobab trees.
  • Large Elephant herds.
  • It is in this Park that visitors will be able to see threatened as well as endangered species ofsuch as ebony trees, Python, cheetah, elephants, African wild dogs, lesser and greater Kudu, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk and others
  • Birdlife in Tarangire is just Amazing ! About 550 species of birds have been recorded in the park, which is larger number of bird species than the famous Serengeti.

Lake Manyara National Park;

Highlights:

  • Famous tree-climbing lions.
  • Large flocks of flamingos.
  • One of Africa’s densely populated African elephants herds
  • Hot water springs is one of the rare geological feature that give visitors to this area an opportunity to explore. The springs are 70 degrees warm enough to boil an egg!
  • For birdwatchers ,the Park is a paradise with more than 350 species of birds identified.

Lake Natron;

Highlights:

  • Lake Natron is a mineral-rich soda lake in northern Tanzania, at the border with Kenya.
  • It's a breeding ground for hundreds of thousands of lesser flamingos, despite the highly alkaline state of the striking red waters.
  • It sits below Ol Doinyo Lengai, a soaring active volcano in the Rift Valley.
  • Trails lead from the lake to the Engero Sero waterfalls, which flow over craggy rocks into a natural pool.

Oldoinyo Lengai;

Highlights:

  • The main attraction close to the Natron is Ol Doinyo Lengai, the Maasai ‘Mountain of God’, a textbook volcano that rises more than 2km above the surrounding Rift Valley floor to an altitude of 2,960m.
